Wood Badge Part II offers a more in-depth look at programming for your Section and will help you run successful programs. You will also learn more about advanced camping and outdoor skills, as well as have an opportunity to network with other Scouters allowing you a chance to learn from each other, share ideas and team build.
Quartermaster & National Food Safety Training & Certification Exam - Menu planning, purchasing, safe handling, sanitation, preparation for indoors & outdoors with limited or full equipment.

Scoutcraft 1 & 2 Outdoor Skills Training
Sat Mar 3 and Sun Mar 4
Day and Outing Activities Skills (Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm)
Outdoors Overnight & Long Term Activity Skills (Sunday 9am-4:00pm)
Scouting is an outdoors program so to aid Volunteers in preparing outdoors program for the youth, we will hold two workshops to help build Leader's skills and comfort level. Held at Camp Samac, 275 Conlin Rd E, Oshawa (Cabin #3), these workshops will cover planning, safety, menus, cooking outdoors, first aid, camping skills, camp set-up, and information about places to go. $45.00 per participant for the course.
Youth Training
Youth Outdoor Camping and Tripping Skills
Scouters, the youth in the Whitby 9th "Wilderness Tripping " Venturer Company received such a strong response to their recent workshop on outdoor camping and tripping skills from the Port Perry Venturers that they have decided to become youth trainers in outdoor skills for other groups and sections. They will attend regular section meetings and do presentations for any length of time to any section from Beavers to Rovers on any topic. Contact Lewis Williams for more information.
ORCKA Canoe Tripping Level 1
Woodbadge Part I - Residential
If you can, it is highly recommended to attend a weekend WB1 Residential course instead of or in addition to the online course. The opportunity to interact with leaders from other Groups in your Section provides invaluable networking, idea-trading, and FUN!
Range Line Safety Officer Training
It is highly recommended that each group who regularly attends the range should send at least 1 registered Scouter in good standing. There is no cost for this course.
All current Range Line Safety Officers wishing to re-certify must attend the Pellet training regardless of how many ranges they have run for groups other than their own. We have new Daisy rifles this year which involve new procedures.
RLSOs wishing to re-certify for archery only may attend the beginning of any training session for a brief update and then may write the re-certification test.
